An essay is, generally speaking, an article that presents the writer’s argument, but on occasion the definition is unclear, overlapping with that of an argumentative paper, an article, a newspaper column, a novel, and even a short narrative. One of the most common kinds of essay is the argumentative essay. Argumentative essayis often characterized by an author saying or describing an impression, thesis statement, or other opinion, and strengthening it against another view, thesis statement, or other view. The arguments can be based on fact, concept, or even personal conjecture. This sort of essay demands careful handling and discussion. An argumentative essay will generally not win the category, but can be valuable as an introduction into the topic.

Another common kind of essay is that the Literary essay. Literary essays have been written about cultural or literary topics. The article will almost always be set from a literature classic, such as a book, essay, or short story, and draws on examples from this literary work. Literary essays frequently criticize current popular writers also, although they don’t have to. This manner of essay frequently tests the ability to analyze and interpret literary substances.

The third most frequent type of essay is that the body paragraphs. Body paragraphs generally go over a central idea or theme and are written with the focus on a single idea. The fourth most frequent type of essay is that the expository essay. An expository article is written to persuade the reader to make an impression, or to encourage one’s view. Essays on expository topics normally cope with law, faith, political science, math, science, history, and other similar topics. An expository essay can contain a thesis statement, which will be a very clear discussion presented completely in the design of an argument, or a list of applicable information, which will tend to support the writer’s point of view.
